Super Eagles and Chelsea FC forward, Victor Moses, is on the radar of new Everton Manager, Roberto Martinez, to shore up ‘The Toffees’ ahead of the new season, even as Jose Mourinho is been speculated to be considering the 2013 Africa Nations Cup winner surplus to requirement at Stamford Bridge.

Martinez, who was a key influence in developing Moses’ career at Wigan and likes his ability to play anywhere along the front line, is reported to be willing to splash £10million (N2.5bn) on the winger.

The new Everton coach is also interested in Moses’ former team mate at Wigan, James McCarthy.

United Kingdom’s The Daily Mail reported Sunday that ‘The Special One’ is not considering the exciting Nigerian as one of his options, as he looks to revamp Chelsea in this his second coming.

Moses had joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic but has found League appearances few and far between, as Rafa Benitez limited him to mostly Cup games.

Although Moses scored crucial goals for Chelsea as they won the Europa League, it remains unlikely that Mourinho, who likes players who are not only technically sound, but also physically strong, will want to keep Moses in a squad that will likely be small.

Another Nigeria player, Kenneth Omeruo, has moved closer to joining Chelsea following a seal of approval by Mourinho. Omeruo, who was signed by Chelsea to its youth team, has been on loan at ADO Den Haag in the Dutch league.

The young Eagles defender, who has represented Nigeria at U-17 and U-20 levels, played a total of 26 matches and scored two goals while on loan in Holland.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has been accused of doing more harm than good to Spanish football during his controversial three-year tenure as coach of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta alleged Sunday.

Portuguese Mourinho quit Real three years before the end of his contract after a 2012-13 campaign without major silverware to return to former club Chelsea.

His stint in the Spanish capital was overshadowed by a series of ugly incidents and he alienated a significant section of Real's own fans when he benched club captain and goalkeeper Iker Casillas, a Spain teammate of Iniesta's.

"You just have to look at the facts," Iniesta said in an interview published in Sunday's edition of El Pais newspaper when asked if Mourinho had harmed Spanish football.

"Yes he damaged Spanish football, in general more harm than good," added the 29-year-old.

"But I don't like talking about that person at all. So if you don't mind we'll leave it at that."

Mourinho, 50, was an assistant coach at Barca in the late 1990s and has also managed Porto and Inter Milan.
